Connor Manning | Assistant Coach
Connor Manning '16 returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach in January 2019. He started his college coaching career as the recruiting coordinator for William Peace University in 2017 before relocating to Indiana where he spent over a year as an investigator for the Indiana Department of Child Services. While there, he assisted the club team at the University of Indiana. He coached the team's defense and face-off specialists. The Hoosiers won the 2018 UMLC Tournament and earned a spot in the MCLA National Tournament.
The 2016 Guilford graduate was a four-year starting midfielder for coach Tom Carmean and ranks among the school's leaders in ground balls and face-offs won. As a senior captain, he won 132-of-261 draws and collected a team-high 83 ground balls. Manning graduated ranked fourth among the Quakers' career leaders with 253 ground balls and first with 513 career face-offs won. He also had the school's eighth-best single-season faceoff percentage (.506).
Off of the field, Manning worked in Guilford’s admissions office as a tour guide. The criminal justice major was a 2015-16 Academic All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Team member, a five-time member of Guilford’s Student-Athlete Honor Roll, and a dean’s list student. He majored in business and European history.
A native of Ithaca, New York, and former Ithaca High School standout, Manning and his wife, Courtney, live in Graham, North Carolina.
Parker Styles | Assistant Coach
Parker Styles '18 joined the Quakers lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in September 2018. He was a four-year starting goalie for the Quakers who played in 50 career games. Styles was a Third Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) selection as a junior and graduated with Guilford career records for goals against average (9.48) and minutes played (2,873).
Styles hails from Marietta, Georgia, and attended Lassiter High School. He earned honorable mention all-state and All-Cobb County honors his senior year.
Dave Daly | Volunteer Assistant Coach
Dave Daly joined the Quakers' staff in January 2018. A Hicksville, New York, native, he graduated from Molloy College in 2005. At the NCAA Division II college, he was a three-time All-New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) selection and a two-time team captain. In 2005 Daly was named Molloy's Defenseman of the Year and a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Preseason All-American. In his career at Molloy, Daly played in 51 games and recovered 85 ground balls.
Since graduating, Daly has coached lacrosse at high schools, colleges, clubs, and tournaments. He spent the last three years coaching the boy’s team at Hanover High School in Virginia. In 2016 the team won the conference championship and made it to the state semifinals. Daly was named the 2016 VHSL 4A Conference 20 and VHSL 4A South Region Coach of the Year. During his time at Hanover, the team produced eight all-state players, 13 all-region players, and 32 all-conference players. He has also coached at the Coast to Coast Lacrosse Club and was the coach for Team Georgia at the Brine National Tournament. In 2017, Daly was the U.S. Lacrosse All-America Chair for Central Virginia.
In addition to his lacrosse coaching experience, Daly was a police officer for 11 years in New York and Virginia.
